Troubleshooting Talker

If you have an old version of talker installed on your system then it will conflict with the new version. Before loading the new taker page you need to flush both and get the new one. Here's how to do that:

1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then Internet Options.
2. In the General Tab click Settings.
3. In the Settings dialog box, click View Objects.
4. That will open the Downloaded Program Files directory.
5. In the Downloaded Program Files directory, look for any content that is named Talker4 and TalkSpace4.
6. Right click on these objects and select Remove.
7. Visit http://www.voicom.com.au/gtalk/stanford.htm and accept the new talker software.
8. Set it to global and hands free before minimizing that second instance of your browser.
9. Open up your Atmosphere only page at: http://simtech.stanford.edu/published_worlds/case1
10. You should then be "in" the world. It may take a bit of time hopefully not more than a minute to see yourself in the world.
